It's been very busy as we work hard to wrap up the school year with many activities for our students.
I enjoyed the week visiting classrooms to discuss some important topics. I visited the children to circle back back to our visits in January about friendship. Over the last two weeks I have discussed Friendship; our new motto: Respect, Responsibility and Safety; and playground behavior. I began each visit by sharing the framed cover of Time Magazine highlighting astronaut, Scott Kelly. Thank you to the MCPE for gifting each of the schools with this beautiful photo. It is inspiring and I used it as a jumping off point to let children know that as good Wheelock citizens, embracing respect, responsibility and safety, their possibilities for the future are endless.

Great job this week on Massachusetts biographies. I have never seen so many famous people at Wheelock at once! The boys and girls outdid themselves with their costumes. Kudos to the grade 3 team, our students and supportive parents!
Looking ahead to next week - on Monday we have our grade Good Character Breakfast at 8:15 for students only; Mr. Grenham is visiting our rising 4th graders to discuss summer reading; Creature Features from Blake are coming; and we are looking forward to a wonderful Field Day on Flag Day the 14th. To honor our flag, each triad is wearing red, white or blue. See the school email for details!
Sounds like a great week planned for our last full week of school!
Have a super weekend!
