What a great Wheelock Reads Week! We look forward each year to hearing from authors, Suzy Kline and Matt Tavares. We were so excited to see them again.
Than you to the PTO and Bethany Robertson, our library media specialist, for making Wheelock Reads possible.
Before we got started with Wheelock Reads, we had a super start to the week with a visit from a Harlem Wizard, Robert Young. Kudos to Mrs. Watson for representing Wheelock Monday night as Medfield teachers took on the Wizards. Thank you!
Thanks to Mrs. Lord for bringing Robert to Wheelock. We all had a great time.
Here are some pictures:

This young man had a great time at the Harlem Wizards Monday night, demonstrating some great skills!
Suzy Kline's visits to Wheelock never get old. She is so charming and engaging. She is the perfect visitor to our grade 3 classes. Thank you, PTO.

Our students had fun dressing up! it doesn't hurt that Matt Tavares has illustrated a lot of baseball books!
Our classes got to read at Wheelock beach and the courtyard! Looks relaxing, ahhhh!

Zullo Gallery Artists
Thanks to the Art Department and our art teacher, Tracey Babin, for a great Zullo Gallery exhibit this year. Congratulations to our artists. Here are a few pictures!

I love Wheelock Reads! Each year we see so many children inspired to write after our author visits. It is a wonderful opportunity for our children to envision future careers and to become inspired! We have so many writers right now! I hope it continues!
Happy Passover and Happy Easter to those who celebrate those holidays. I want to extend warm wishes for a great spring break.
Best,
Donna Olson
