We are wrapping up another busy week at Wheelock School!
I was so excited to learn that Bethany Robertson and I had our grants approved by the MCPE. Wheelock has been so fortunate! We have had many grants approved over the past few years. Some of those include several for technology; Mrs. Singer's grant for sensory objects; our art mural; the FoodPlay performance and curriculum, co-wrote by Dr. Bilsborough and I; and now our Makerspace grant! Thank you so much for all of your support!
Mrs. Robertson will be ordering many cool items for the Makerspace. The school has ordered a large beanbag chair, a standing desk and a Dash and Dot robot, lego kits among other items to contribute to this outstanding project and collaborate with the PTO and MCPE. Thank you!!
This month Wheelock students are coding. Check out some great pictures from Ms. Connolly's class!
Safety Drill ~ Today I debriefed yesterday's drill with our students. They did a great job and understood the importance of practicing safety procedures.
On Wednesday we participated in math professional development with Shephali Fox. Grade 2 participated in a lesson study. It was great to visit one of our classrooms and watch Mrs. Fox model instruction for our teachers. Check it out on Twitter!
Thank you for all of your support!
