This week we took care of our Vision and Screening assessments, thanks to retired Medfield School Nurse, Lois Cardell, and Kathy Thompson, Dale School Nurse and Medfield Nurse Leader. I want to extend a big thank you to Kathy for all of her help in ensuring Wheelock has been well-cared for during Mrs. Schiemer's leave. Both Amie Keigen and Melissa Coughlin, who have covered in her absence, have done an outstanding job. It is all deeply appreciated by the faculty, staff and students!
We finally made it. Thanks to all of our volunteers! Thank you to Mrs. Lynn, Mrs. Newton and Miss Parker for your patience. The better weather made it worth the wait. The children had a great experience!
A message from our Literacy Coordinator, Jamee Callahan:
The elementary family literacy night is scheduled for next Thursday, November 15. This year, the planning committee would like to add a 'Pop-Up Little Free Library' to the event line up. To make this event successful for students in all grades Pre-K-5, we're asking parents for gently-used book donations. Do you have books on your bookshelves that your children have grown out of? If yes, please consider sending in book donations during the week of November 12. There will be a collection box in the main office at all elementary schools (and Blake). You can drop them off in person, or send them to school with your child. Thanks for considering!
Don't forget, our food drive goes through next week!
Thank you for your partnership as we educate your children!
Enjoy the long weekend, see you Tuesday!
