We are winding down and getting ready for the big day, Transition Day! I am very excited to greet our new students and see how the day flows. I hear it is a lot of fun and very exciting for the boys and girls.
On Tuesday afternoon a group of teachers and I will be interviewing candidates for the grade 2 position at Wheelock. Miss Graziano will handle Transition Day for that classroom and we will email the name of the new teacher to those parents involved, as soon as it is appropriate in the process. The teacher will be referred to as TBD for now. We are so sorry the new teacher will not be in place on Transition Day. I will not be available Tuesday afternoon due to the inteview schedule.
Also on Transition Day, Mrs. Burns, substitute teacher, will be caring for students who have Mrs. Callahan. Mrs. Callahan presently is out on a leave but is returning next school year.
I do want parents to be aware that our Lost and Found area in the cafeteria is overflowing with beautiful clothing items. Please check if your child lost a sweatshirt or item of clothing this year. It is a shame if it is lost. We will be donating these items to charity at the end of the school year.
That's all for now.
