Happy Spring! is it really here? Hopefully the weather will begin to improve soon!
It is hard to believe 140 days of awesome have passed! After vacation we will be in the home stretch.
As we continue to work through the placement process, I'd like to thank you if you submitted a letter for student placement. That window is now closed. Please know we work hard on behalf of all of our students to create balanced classrooms with input from staff. It is a process that requires a lot of attention and takes many hours. For those who commented that they wish to know more about the process, please see my presentation on the school website. It was the topic at my last parent coffee.
We are working as a staff and with the Site Council to digest feedback from the Site Council Survey. I will be sharing highlights with you in May. I do wish to note that there is a lot of misinformation out there that came out in the survey; just a lot of factual errors. If you have a question about an important matter, please call the school. We are happy to speak with you so you will have correct information!
Sunday was a great day at Hunter's Run. Many Wheelock staff came to cheer on Hunter!
The Grade 2 Science Fair was super! Very impressive! Yes, it can be a family invovlement project but that in itself provides an opportunity for family time. To oversee such a cool investigation with your child is a great first research experience for the students. Thank you to all of our teachers and parents who support our students in their learning!
