Welcome back to a shiny new year. I hope 2017 brings you health, happiness and exciting opportunities!
Earlier this week we held our December Hoot drawing. Selected students chose among over 40 privileges and those chosen included an email home from the principal, a homework pass (ever popular), extra recess and lunch with the teacher and a friend.
Boys and girls who earned Hoots between December 2nd and March 15th will be invited to attend the Term II Good Character Breakfast on March 22nd - Grade 2 and March 24th - Grade 3.
Mr. Grenham and I had a great meeting with the MCPE this week. As part of an initiative at both schools to educate our students about Empathy, we wrote a grant to bring Urban Improv, a great Boston theatre group to our schools to work with our students to present interactive skits about getting along with others. We are hopeful MCPE will approve our grant.
Thank you to our PTO for approving Mr. Kuehl's grant for lap desks. They are awesome!
