It is great to be be back. We are completing a full week of school and it flew by. Today is just a delightful day. I was able to enjoy the company of a lovely Principal of the Day!
On January 13th at 9:00 am, Mrs. Olson and Mrs. Ellen Toubman, Medfield World Language Content Specialist, will attend the Memorial PTO meeting to present information to the parents of Memorial first graders to assist them in the world language selection process. A Google survey will be sent out toward the end of the month when parents will select either Mandarin or Spanish for their student’s second grade year. Later this month, and before the survey is sent home, Mrs. Olson and the world language teachers, along with a few of our Wheelock world language students will return to Memorial to present to the first graders so the boys and girls can gain a little knowledge of each language before talking over their choice with their parents. We hope you find this helpful.
As a reminder to Wheelock parents, a Google form will be sent home to grade 2 parents as well. At the end of the second grade year, you have the one time option to change your language. The next opportunity for changing a language will not occur until your student is entering grade 6.
