Greetings. I hope you have had a nice week. Thank you to Beth Robertson, for her hard work. Beth presented about our library media center and all of her clubs at our PTO meeting this week. I strongly encourage you to check out her site!
Our Friendship Rules
I had a great time visiting all of the classrooms reading to the boys and girls and helping them create friendship rules for their classes. Teachers selected student representatives who worked with me to create a video, summarizing our work. I hope you enjoy it!
I had a delightful lunch to day with a Hoot Raffle winner and his good friend. The boys were a nice bright spot in my day!
I will offer a Principal's Coffee on February 2nd at 8:00AM. That may provide a good option for parents before work. At this meeting, I will present on the CST (Child Study Team Process) and RTI (Response to Intervention) and how these teams impact referrals to special education. At our next PTO meeting in March, I will provide a brief presentation on the Next Generation MCAS (formerly referred to as 2.0).
Give a Hat Wear A Hat
Next Friday students who donate a new hat may wear a hat during school. Hats will be collected at our office.
Thank you, MCPE and PTO
Thanks once again to the MCPE and PTO for supporting our school. Mr. Kuehl wrote a lap desk grant supported by the MCPE, PTO and our school. Mr. Grenham, from Dale Street School, and I wrote a grant to host Urban Improv, a Boston theater group, who will perform for our students. The performances are interactive and some of our students will participate. The topics will support our ongoing initiative - developing empathy in our students.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend!
