All of us at Wheelock wish all of our families a happy, healthy holiay season and a wonderful New Year! Enjoy this time with family and friends!
We've had an exciting season with the boys and girls. Having Bren Bataclan, our muralist, last week generated so much excitement and good spirit at Wheelock. One of my teachers said, "Everytime I walk by it, it's going to make me smile!" And that was our goal, to create a learning environment that is inspiring to our students and staff. Thank you, MCPE!
Today I held our Grade 3 Good Character Breakfast. We initially had some difficulty with our first invitation which was sent our three weeks ago. Our ghost account didn't send for some reason, hence the delay in your email. Further, as much as we want to become consistent as an elementary program, there will remain distinctions among us. I love that Dale's Positive Referal Program Breakfast includes parents. I feel if we did that too, it would take away from Dale's program. It's okay for our programs to be different and for parents to have something to look forward to at Dale. In the primary schoosl there are so many other opportunities to visit and volunteer in the schools. Thanks to Food Services for the goodies.
I have had a great month, working with the boys and girls, discussing empathy and friendship. I have a video in the works that will highlight our time spent together. Look for it in the new year. Here's a photo of the boys and girls involved doing some preliminary preparation.
We also were serenaded by the Medfield High School Jazz Band. With Doug Olsen, Music Director, the students spread holiday cheer throughout the school. Thank you!
Happy New Year!
