Our first week back at Wheelock was great! Everything went so smoothly to everyone's credit. I began visiting our new second graders and shared the wonderful Arthur story, Arthur's First Day. It was perfect, as it also provided a chance to talk about bus rules in a fun way. The boys and girls are adorable and I am looking forward to getting to know them. While I was in classrooms, I had the chance to snap a couple of pictures. Enjoy!
On behalf of our faculty and staff welcome back to the 2013-2014 school year. We are excited and ready to start the year. I'd like to reassure all of our parents who are wondering about their children today. We have had an outstanding first day! There were very few tears and many happy smiles. Lunch and recess went really well and I am looking forward to our Welcome Back Assembly at 2:30, where our children will meet the faculty and staff and review a few minor rules. I hope when the children return to you today, they too will have great news to share about the
