Some of us were excited to travel to Medway to cheer on Medfield athletes in the Special Olympics. It is a great event for our students and families. Congratulations to all of the athletes!
Library Collaboration!
Today our town and district librarians, along with Jamee Callahan, our ELA Coordinator met to collaborate about summer reading in Medfield. It's terrific that this collaboration is happening.
MCAS
At my Parent Coffee, I shared information about the upcoming MCAS online administration. This presentation is also on the school's website. This afternoon I took our students through a practice tutorial to review technology skills. I am so impressed with their abilities! They took to it immediately. Thank you to our teachers, our tech team and our students for all of their hard work. They seem actually excited about the online administration. I called the children our pioneers, as the first Wheelock third graders to take an online assessment like this.
On March 22nd, Dr. Marsden presented to the elementary staff about school safety. In light of the recent climate, we are working hard to refine/review our practices to ensure we are doing everything possible to keep our students safe. Some parents have commented positively mentioning some of the new procedures. We want you to feel as welcome as ever, but we need to ensure student safety in the process! Thank you for understanding!
Thank you for all you do!
Have a great weekend!
