I hope you had a great week! The boys and girls are working hard and have settled nicely into school routines.
Our bus evacuation drills went smoothly on Tuesday morning. A yearly event, the boys and girls enjoy this activity that helps them practice being safe in the event of an emergency.
Our students participated in their Vision and Hearing Screenings. A thank you to Mrs. Schiemer, our nurse, who does such a nice job with helping our students understand the necessity of these activities.
As we approach the week of the 19th, we look forward to many parents visiting to help out in the Victory Garden. Harvesting these vegetables is another fun Wheelock activity. For those of you new to Wheelock .The harvested vegetables will go into our stew for Rocky Woods. We hope you are able to join us at Rocky Woods for that great Pilgrim celebration later this month and have a taste of that stew!
We hope you and your children have become more familiar and confident in our new math program. We are excited to let you know that Ki mCave, our Curriculum Director, is planning a Math Night to share information about our program. More information and that date will be coming soon.
Enjoy this beautiful weather!
“We like to think of our champions and idols as superheroes who were born different from us. We don’t like to think of them as relatively ordinary people who made themselves extraordinary.”
